Rhodes Piano Workshop

 
 

 

Pianist Luke Rhodes, Lawrence KS, is now accepting beginner/intermediate students ages 8 and up.

Mr. Rhodes has openings in his studio on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, at the rate of $10.00 per half-hour lesson. Curriculum consists of both traditional and Suzuki methods, though it is trimmed to suit the student's needs. Students are expected to purchase their own books, attend weekly lessons, as well as perform at routine student recitals. Parental involvement is required for students under the age of twelve. Lessons will be taught at the home of Mr. Rhodes.

Luke Rhodes, a resident of Lawrence KS, attends an independent private school, of which he is completing his junior year. Luke has performed at numerous community activities, and has twice received First Honorable Mention at the Kansas Music Teachers Association (KMTA) State competition, was a two time first place winner in the Sigma Alpha Iota competitions, a two time first place winner in the Washburn University Soloist competitions, and a first place winner in the 2008 Lawrence Honors Recital Series sponsored by the Stephen Paul Wunsch Foundation for Young Musicians. Luke has also performed with the International Music Festival Orchestra in Cleveland, Ohio; and has a strong interest in composition, theory, and conducting as well as piano. He currently studies with Dr. Carol Ross of the Kansas University music faculty.
